Professional fly fishing guide Greg Senyo will be telling us
how to "Swing Streamers for Steelhead" on Ohio's Lake Erie
tributaries" 7:15 p.m. at the Monday, October 10 chapter
meeting of Trout Unlimited, in Fisher Auditorium on the
OSU/OARDC campus in Wooster.
Greg will discuss swinging presentation tactics, equipment,
and fly patterns he has found most successful for steelhead
when fishing the Lake Erie tributaries. He will also demonstrate
tying of his specialty streamer fly patterns and will have supplies
of his own fly tying materials, flies, and books for sale. Greg will
donate some of his fly tying materials for the chapter raffle that
will be held just before his presentation. Several other quality
items will be available in the raffle, proceeds of which go to
support chapter activities.
Greg Senyo is a professional fly fisher and fly tier from
Girard, Pennsylvania and the southern shores of Lake Erie. He
has dedicated the past 20 years to honing his fly fishing and
tying techniques, while fishing and guiding on the Lake Erie
tributaries of Steelhead Alley. He is the owner of Senyos
Steelhead Alley Outfitters, an all-inclusive, educational fly fishing
guide service on the Lake Erie Tributaries. He, and his dedicated
staff of seasoned professionals, have developed SteelheadAlley
Outfitters to become well recognized for the high level of service
they provide to their guests in all phases of fly fishing and fly
tying. Greg plays key roles in several other companies that
service the fly fishing industry, and develops and markets his
own line of fly tying materials. He is actively involved with new
product development, innovative fly tying materials, and field
testing of the latest fly fishing tackle. A long time contract tier
for the Orvis Company,he won the prestigious fly tier of the year
award in 2008.
Many of Gregs steelhead flies, materials, and outfitting
services have been featured in national publications, fly fishing
books, and magazine articles, helping to inspire the way toward
new-age Great Lakes fly pattern design. His first book Fusion

The evening raffle will feature a 10-foot fly rod, matching
Loon fly reel and fly line, perfect for fishing for steelhead in Lake
Erie tributary streams.
