THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED WITH THE APRIL 5 TROUT STOCKING AND TRASH CLEAN UP OF APPLE CREEK AT GROSJEAN PARK. PLEASE RESPECT THIS NEW FISHERY BY COMPLYING WITH THE REQUESTS POSTED AT THE PARK, ESPECIALLY PRACTICING PROPER CATCH AND RELEASE! THANK YOU SO MUCH AND ENJOY YOUR FISHING EXPERIENCE.
On April 5, 2008 the City of Wooster and CFRTU stocked rainbow and brown trout at Grossjean Park along a one mile stretch of Apple Creek. Look under member pictures for photos of the stocking. We hope everyone will take advantage of this new sports fishery. We encourage fly fishing and the practice of "catch and release". If you see someone harvesting trout, kindly remind them that the sustainability of this fishery depends on compliance with the practice of catch and release. And PLEASE if you fish, fill out the On-line fishing survey...please see below. We hope that everyone continues to enjoy this fishery!!
